Things to do in PV: Visit Parque de Los Azulejos
The mosaic tile renovations in Parque de Los Azulejos began a few years ago under the direction of local artist Natasha Moraga. Initial renovations were part of Puerto Vallarta’s Centennial celebration and the community has helped to transform the park into somewhat of an outdoor gallery. The park has functional spaces for residents and visitors to sit that are now adorned with vibrant and colorful mosaic tiles. Moraga has also created beautiful works of art in the Puerto Vallarta Marina and along the Malecon boardwalk, too. Along with the help of local residents and visitors, the community has come together to help beautify the Lázaro Cárdenas Park creating the Parque de Los Azulejos. The lovely mosaic tile plates are handmade and created by volunteers that attend a 3-day course taught by artist Moraga.
