Are you planning your a trip to Puerto Vallarta and bringing along your children? Besides the beautiful beaches, are you wondering what other activities can entertain your little ones? Here we will discuss some of the activities you and your children may enjoy on your next trip to Puerto Vallarta
Galex Kids Play Area
Located in the centrally located Plaza Caracol shopping mall, upstairs near the food court is a fun and budget friendly play area that will get you out of the hot sun for a few hours. The Galex Kids play area has a wide variety of slides, swings and toys safe for little children up to age 7 or 8 or under 1.3 meters tall. For only $89 pesos which is around $5 dollars at the current peso dollar exchange rate, children can have unlimited playtime in the air conditioned play area. Make sure to bring a pair of socks as it is a requirement for all those who enter the play area for sanitation reasons. If you are wearing your flip flops and forget to bring a pair, the front desk will sell you a pair for only $20 pesos or just over $1 dollar. Since the food court is located directly across from the play area, parents can grab a drink or a bite to eat while their little ones burn off their energy. You can even buy a Corona beer so you can cool off.
Horseback Riding On The Beach
Another unique activity that children will enjoy is found on many beaches in Puerto Vallarta. Consistently found on the beach in Bucerias just north of Puerto Vallarta, horse wranglers will walk up and down the beach with their horses offering horseback rides to adults and children. For around $300 pesos or $18 dollars, children can climb atop a beautiful and calm horse and take a ride along the sand. If you prefer, adults can ride along with their little one so they can try their hand at this unique adventure. There is just something about riding a horse along the beach that will speak to people of all ages. Definitely something to try out if you love animals and enjoy horseback riding.
If your child is artistic and you want to feed their creative side, why not try out a painting class or workshop. Located in Bucerias about 20 minutes north of Puerto Vallarta, the Hacienda del Arte offers children’s workshops and painting classes with local artist Nova Orisia. The owner of Soñe Gallery, Nova is an energetic and talented painter who can help inspire little ones through painting using a variety of colors and textures to create art. Classes are regularly held several times a month, but private classes can also be arranged if you can’t find a class to fit your vacation schedule. Your child will even get to take home a creation or painting so it is a chance to make truly lasting memories for you and your children.
